::what a crock of shit

Perhaps the most important difference between conservatives and liberals can be found in the area of national security. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers.

–Karl Rove, June 22nd, 2005

What the fuck is that about?

Conservatives saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and did what? Stripped away our civil liberties. Threatened the whole world. Detained thousands for no reason. Suppressed dissent. What did conservatives, do? They went to the goddamn bank.

And Karl Rove has the audacity to stand up in New York City, probably the most liberal city in the most liberal state in the nation, where there most likely isn’t a single resident not scarred in some way by the attacks, and call us weak. All those liberal cops and firefighters who died? Pansies, every one of ’em. Those people who jumped from the triple-digit floors while covered in burning jet fuel? Wimps. The construction workers who spent weeks looking for survivors, and then more than a year looking for bodies? Sissies, I tell you. Straight up sissies.

I’d like to see Karl Rove have the balls to make that same statement at the memorial site. Or in The Bronx. Or even on Wall Street. I’d like to see a mob of cowardly stock brokers and touchy-feely bonds traders kick his pompus ass and send him to fucking therapy.

Physical therapy.

9-11 was the biggest lie ever sold to the american public, and you would have to be a complete fool to beleive that it was “Al Qaeda”. The whole thing was planned and funded by the american government i.e George Bush and his Nazi scum co-conspirators. Dubya should be arrested and sentenced to death by firing squad for crimes against humanity. Anyone who beleives his story of “Al Qaeda” should join him.

I disagree almost completely. Al Qaeda is real, they are behind the 9/11 attack, and they have a lot more brewing.

Al Qaeda is a product of the US in that our government is responsible for the conditions that allowed the organizaiton to come into being and have it’s growth fostered.

I believe that the only way to win this “war” is to declare a cease-fire and change our policies and practices around the world that have caused there to be so much hatred of the United States.

…I want to be clear on this, even though the comment above is just the rant of some slob too chicken to even give a name to his comment. While I do believe that George W. Bush is a criminal and is deserving of prosecution, I have never, nor will I ever, condone capital punishment for anyone. Let alone the President of the United States–he is out of bounds for the sole reason that respect for the Office is much more important than respect for the Office Holder.
